1. What do you like about your image?  I like how the face gel bottle really stood out with the bamboo in the back and the shell just to be a little extra.  2. What would you have done differently in your process that would have changed the outcome of  the image?  The only thing I would do differently is having a more creative text.

Story- I did my best to come up with something creative so I came up with a birthday theme for a younger kid. 😂 The reindeer cup represents a child by the way. Used emphasis and value. The girl is enjoying her treats  She blows her candle and makes a wish. She has all the memories with her friends in the album.

What do you like about each image, what would you have done differently? I really like how I was able to add more dramatic shadow to the honey bottle and change the look of the front of the cup to get the  shadow by using photoshop.  My makeup mirror had a slight shadow in the front, I use at least moisturizer and serum everyday so that's why I choose to take this picture. I love how I got this taken on a perfect sunny day. The only thing I would need to do is get a little more creative with my objects I choose.

Landscape Photography- Ansel Adams

Sierra Nevada, Winter Evening I love how this picture is so well taken with the perfect balance of sky, mountains, and the lake with the reflection. I know this has nothing to do with the northern lights, but the sky kind of looks like the smear of the northern lights. I'm very into nature pictures especially lake and ocean pictures like this. This one stood out to me the most from all the other pictures Ansel Adams has taken.

Cinemagraph Reflection Questions

1. What was your team’s overall concept and did you succeed in crafting the cinemagraph the way you intended? We intended to have Maddie's hand still as the sand was falling off slowly from the shovel. 2. Were you more involved in the creative, photographic, or technical portion of the process, what did you do? Technical Portion, I helped with getting the camera to be in position of focus on shovel and  with moving whatever was in the way.  3. What would you have done differently when creating your cinemagraph? I would probably try being the creative person.  4. What would have made this project easier to understand or create? Nothing, the directions were honestly pretty clear.  5. How was the team dynamic - great, good, fair, poor, and did everyone share the work? Good, we all were somewhat involved.

Shorebreak Movie Notes

What did Clark do before photography? What do you like about his work? What do you not like about his work? What brand of camera does he use and how does he take it into the water? Is this a career that you would consider, why/why not? 1. Surfing  2. I like how he followed his passion and captures the photos to make it look unique. For example, the turtles looking like their holding hands looks unique.  3. One thing i didn't like was I feel like his pictures are only in the ocean mostly. I think he should have more variety in his photographs.  4. He uses a special tool stick that holds the camera in water 5. Yes, I've always had a passion for nature photography and really want to have my own business one day. I do have a business aside for portraits for birthdays/parties but nature photography is my main focus.

Extra Credit- Shutter Speed Video

First thing to do when shooting manual mode is to turn dial to M Set shutter speed to 1/1250 Set aperture to 4.5 or closest number your lens allow Really important to have correct ISO number especially when taking outdoor sports pictures For shutter priority, first thing to do is turn mode dial to TV. If you set ISO to 800, this gives flexibility in shadow or bright sunlight to get correct exposure. Camera settings should have: auto white balance, exposure compensation, high speed shutter release, continiuos auto focus, metering mode, and auto focus mode

Ted Talk

What is storytelling according to Andrew Stanton? What does Stanton say your job is as a storyteller? What is one thing that Andrew says that you think can help you to create a good animation? 1. Storytelling is when you draw an image and create animation that means something big.  2. He says you want to make a story with a dialogue and no words, just action. "we want them to look for their meal" is what he says.  3. Draw the story, connecting with something from the past.
